Product Description

Principle:

Rapid HIV 1+2 Test Card employs chromatographic lateral flow device in a cassette format. Colloidal gold conjugated recombinant antigens (Au-Ag) corresponding to HIV-1 gp120, gp41 and HIV-2 gp-36 are dry-immobilized at the end of nitrocellulose membrane strip. HIV 1+2 antigens are bond at the Test Zone (T) and rabbit anti-HIV 1+2 antibodies are bond at the Control Zone (C). When the sample is added, it migrates by capillary diffusion rehydrating the gold conjugate. If there are HIV1 or HIV 2 antibodies in sample, they will bind with the gold conjugated antigens forming particles. These particles will continue to migrate along the strip until the Test Zone (T) zone where they are captured by the HIV 1+2 antigens generating a visible red line. If there are no HIV 1 or HIV 2 antibodies in sample, no red line is formed in the Test Zone (T).The gold conjugate will continue to migrate alone until it is captured in the Control Zone(C) by the rabbit anti-HIV 1+2 antibodies aggregating in a red line, which indicates the validity of the test.

Test Procedure:

Interpretation of results:

1.Negative-If only one line (c line) appears in the quality control area, the result is negative, indicating that HIV-1 antibodies or HIV-2 antibodies are not detected in the oral mucosal exudate of the person being detected. If there is a high-risk behavior in the short term, it is recommended that no periodic inspection within one months.

2.Positive-If the detection line (T line) and the mass control line (c line) appear (one is located in the detection area, one is in the quality control area), the test results are positive. The positive results showed that HIV-1 antibodies or HIV-2 antibodies were detected in the oral mucosal exudate of the detected person. The test results are positive for the detected person must be resampling for the second Test, if the second test results are still positive must follow the national HIV management norms, send HIV confirmation laboratory confirmation.

3.Invalid-If the quality control line (c line) in the quality control area does not appear, the test is not valid, indicating that the operation process is incorrect or the strip is invalid. It is recommended that you read the instructions carefully and test the new test kit again.

1. This kit is only used for the detection of human oral mucosal exudate and may not be used for other bodily fluids. Please distinguish between oral mucosal exudate and ordinary saliva, it is important to refer to the method of wiping the gums to properly dip the oral mucosal exudate for testing. If the sampling method is incorrect, it will result in inaccurate detection.
