The pleated filter bag is a new type of dust filter bags, which could be used on pulse-jet bag
dust collectors. This kind of filter bags could largely increase filtration area and reduce
filtration wind speed with little reconstruction work and no change of the collector’s
structure. Years of studies have increased our knowledge about the pleated filter bags’
structure, the angle of the pleat, the material of the filter media, the cages’ structure, the
parameter of dust cleaning and so on, and also have helped us achieved great technical
improvement. Now the pleated filter bags are widely used in fields that require large dust
removal apparatus like cement plants, steel industries, etc. It is one of the alternatives to the
traditional filter bags to solve the problems of high filtration velocity and high operation cost.
